Focus Reset Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Focus Reset mobile application, the Focus Reset website, and related services.

Focus Reset is provided by iTechAI Pte. Ltd., Singapore (“iTechAI”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By downloading, accessing, or using Focus Reset, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Focus Reset.

1. What Focus Reset is

Focus Reset is a productivity tool designed to provide a brief visual transition before focused work.

Focus Reset is not a medical device, medical treatment, mental-health service, counselling service, or substitute for professional advice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or psychological condition.

You remain responsible for deciding whether and how to use the app. We do not guarantee any particular productivity, concentration, wellbeing, educational, or professional result.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally permitted to use Focus Reset and accept these Terms.

If you are not old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live, you may use Focus Reset only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

If you use Focus Reset on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

3. No account

Focus Reset does not currently require an account or login.

Your ritual settings, reminder configuration, history, and locally calculated insights are generally stored on your device. You are responsible for maintaining your device, operating-system backups, and access to the Apple or Google account used for purchases.

Local data may be lost if you delete the app, clear app data, replace or reset your device, or experience a device or software failure.

4. Free and Pro features

Focus Reset may provide free functionality and optional paid functionality under Focus Reset Pro.

Focus Reset Pro may include features such as additional ritual durations, halo themes, ritual ambience, and expanded history or insights. The current features included in each offering will be shown in the app before purchase.

We may improve, replace, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary. We will not intentionally misrepresent the features included in a paid offering, and mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

Focus Reset Pro may be offered through an automatically renewing subscription, a non-consumable purchase, or another in-app purchase supported by the applicable store.

The exact product, price, currency, billing period, trial or introductory offer, and included features will be displayed before you confirm a purchase.

Store billing

Purchases made through the Apple App Store are billed and managed by Apple. Purchases made through Google Play are billed and managed by Google.

Taxes and currency conversion may be handled by the applicable store according to your account and location.

Automatic renewal

An automatically renewing subscription continues for successive billing periods unless you cancel it before the renewal date shown by Apple or Google.

Your store account will be charged according to the terms displayed at purchase. Deleting Focus Reset does not cancel a subscription.

Trials and introductory offers

If a trial or introductory offer is available, the app or store purchase screen will display its duration, eligibility conditions, and the price that applies after the offer.

Unless you cancel before the applicable renewal date, the subscription may automatically renew at the displayed price.

Managing or cancelling a subscription

You can manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.

Cancellation generally stops future renewal. Access may continue until the end of the period already paid for, subject to the applicable store terms and law.

Restore Purchases

Where supported, you can use Restore Purchases in Focus Reset to restore eligible paid access associated with the same Apple or Google account.

Refunds

Apple or Google generally handles refunds for purchases made through its store under its own policies and applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, cancellation, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be limited.

6. Licence

Subject to these Terms, iTechAI grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable licence to use Focus Reset for lawful personal use or lawful internal use within your organisation.

Focus Reset is licensed, not sold.

Except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, attempt to derive source code from, or create derivative works from Focus Reset.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use Focus Reset for an unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive purpose;
• interfere with the operation, integrity, or security of the app or website;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data;
• circumvent purchase, subscription, entitlement, or technical controls;
• commercially redistribute, resell, or sublicense Focus Reset;
• remove copyright, trademark, or ownership notices;
• impersonate iTechAI or misrepresent your relationship with us; or
• use automated means to burden, scrape, or disrupt the website except where permitted by law.

8. Intellectual property

Focus Reset, including its software, visual design, motion, audio, text, branding, trademarks, and other content, is owned by iTechAI or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of Focus Reset or any associated intellectual property to you.

9. Third-party platforms and services

Your use of Focus Reset may depend on third-party platforms and services, including your device operating system, the Apple App Store, Google Play, notification services, and internet or hosting infrastructure.

Their terms and privacy policies may also apply. iTechAI does not control those third-party services and is not responsible for interruptions or changes caused by them, except to the extent required by law.

For Focus Reset obtained through the Apple App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If a mandatory Apple term conflicts with these Terms, the mandatory Apple term controls to the extent of that conflict.

10. Availability, maintenance, and updates

We aim to keep Focus Reset reliable, but we do not guarantee that the app or website will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Functionality may be affected by your device, operating system, notification settings, battery restrictions, store services, network connection, or other systems outside our control.

We may release updates, fix defects, modify functionality, or stop supporting older versions. An update may be required for continued use.

11. Privacy

Our handling of information is described in the Focus Reset Privacy Policy.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Focus Reset is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, accuracy, and non-infringement to the extent those warranties may lawfully be disclaimed.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a guarantee, warranty, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, iTechAI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss arising from or related to Focus Reset, including loss of data, opportunity, productivity, revenue, or profits.

Where liability cannot be excluded, iTechAI’s aggregate liability arising from Focus Reset will be limited to the greater of:

• the amount you paid for Focus Reset during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
• the minimum amount required by applicable law.

This section does not limit liability where doing so would be unlawful.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Focus Reset at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, abuse, fraud, a security threat, a material breach of these Terms, or a legal requirement.

Termination of access does not automatically cancel an Apple or Google subscription. You must manage the subscription through the applicable store.

Sections that by their nature should continue after termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law—will continue to apply.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any mandatory consumer-protection rights available under the law of the country where you live remain unaffected.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Focus Reset, our commercial arrangements, or applicable requirements.

The current version will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
